New Beginnings

We moved our family to the Milwaukee area just over a week ago, we are thrilled to be here and with our new neighborhood comes new gyms to explore. Now of course, going to a gym is a bit different but luckily with warm temperatures, exercising outdoors is a great option.

My husband and I have enjoyed Crossfit workouts for years but I took a pretty long hiatus, over 3 years, when I was pregnant and after I had my twin girls. It’s all wrapped up in my lack of recovery the first time around and the need to understand proper prenatal fitness and recovery after the girls. However, I felt like now was the right time to try again. I decided to try a new gym with my husband last week, Crossfit100, and finally, grabbing that bar and getting through those workouts felt great! I was confident and excited to push myself, knowing that I had the form and the strength to get through the most difficult movements.

I love working with athletes and those that really push themselves in fitness but it’s also a difficult population to train and force to GO SLOW. Correct form and rebuilding foundation properly is the key to future success and reaching those difficult goals. I can attest that now understanding how to brace properly and proper form will keep me pain free and working out effectively for years to come.
